# About the AstroWay reference: what is here and who writes it

> An astrology reference in the AstroWay ecosystem: techniques the main site does not cover, celebrity charts with sources, who writes and checks the texts.

The AstroWay reference explains astrological techniques and shows the birth charts of public figures with checked birth data. It sits next to the main site [astroway.info](https://astroway.info/en/) and the AstroWay app: the explanation lives here, the calculation of your own chart lives there.

## What is here

The sections cover topics the main site does not have or covers only briefly:

- [astrocartography](/en/astrocartography): planetary lines on the world map;
- [synastry](/en/synastry): how two charts are compared, the composite and the Davison chart;
- [aspects](/en/aspects): the nature of each aspect, orbs and patterns;
- fixed stars (section in preparation);
- charts of public figures: birth date, time and place with a source, a data rating, planetary positions and a reading.

Zodiac signs, planets in signs and houses, sign compatibility and the basic natal chart guide stay on [astroway.info](https://astroway.info/en/) and are not repeated here.

## Who writes it

The texts are written and edited by Lilia together with the AstroWay team. Every article goes through a separate editorial pass for facts, the arithmetic of the examples and the language. The Ukrainian and English versions are written separately, not translated word for word.

## How the texts are made

The articles are in our own words. We do not retell or copy astrology books or other sites. Examples come either from charts published in the reference or from made-up degrees, and made-up examples are marked as such.

Drafts of some articles are prepared with the help of language models. An editor rewrites and checks every such draft: facts and dates against the sources, degrees and orbs against the chart calculation. Nothing is published without that check. Birth data is never picked by a model: a person finds it and checks it.

Dates, years, author names and figures are published only when they can be checked. How charts are calculated, where birth data comes from and what the data rating means is described in the [methodology](/en/methodology).

## What you will not find here

We do not make predictions about the health, death or court cases of living people. A reading of a public figure's chart describes character and past events with dates and sources. Private individuals and minors are not included.

Astrology is described here as a tradition of interpretation. The articles explain how that tradition reads a chart and do not promise outcomes.

If you spot a mistake in birth data or in a text, write to us: the address is on the [contact](/en/contact) page. We check corrections that come with a source and, if the source holds, update the page and the date at the bottom.
