# Rosalía birth chart with time of birth > Rosalía's birth chart for September 25, 1992, 1:50 p.m., Sant Cugat del Vallès: time from the birth certificate per the collector, AA* rating, Sun near the MC. URL: https://kb.astroway.info/en/people/rosalia Birth data: 1992-09-25, 13:50, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Catalonia, Spain; Rodden rating AA*. Rosalía was born on September 25, 1992, in Sant Cugat del Vallès near Barcelona. The birth time is known, and the most striking feature of the chart is the Libra Sun sitting almost on the MC, the highest point of the chart. ## What is known and what is not The year was muddled for a long time: older publications gave 1993. In a 2021 radio interview Rosalía corrected the host herself and said she was born in 1992. Astro-Databank, Astrotheme and Wikidata give the same date. The place has a conflict too. Some sources, Wikidata among them, list Sant Esteve Sesrovires as her birthplace, but that is the town where she grew up. The newspaper 20minutos says it plainly: she was born in Sant Cugat and raised in Sant Esteve Sesrovires. Billboard also names Sant Cugat as her birthplace and places her childhood in a small town outside Barcelona. Sant Cugat is also what the birth certificate cited by the collector says. The two towns are about 18 km apart, so the difference barely moves the chart, but the documented birthplace is Sant Cugat. The hospital is not confirmed by a strong source, so the coordinates are those of the town centre. The 1:50 p.m. time comes from Astro-Databank, where the collector Juan Estadella quotes the birth certificate he holds. Astrotheme gives the same time from the same Estadella, so this is one source, not two. No copy of the document has been published, so we give it a [Rodden rating](/en/methodology#rodden) of AA*. We found no other versions of the time. The chart is cast for 13:50 Central European Summer Time (UTC+2): Spain kept daylight time in 1992 until September 27. ## The Sun near the MC and the 10th house The Sun at 2°39′ Libra sits in the 9th house, less than two degrees short of the MC at 4°30′ Libra. Just past the MC, in the 10th house, are Mercury at 10°53′ Libra and Venus at 0°25′ Scorpio. Three personal planets gather around the top of the chart. The MC traditionally describes career and public standing. Astrologers read the Sun next to it as a life lived largely in view of others, and Libra adds themes of form, aesthetics and balance. Venus, the planet of art, in the 10th house supports that reading. ## A Virgo Moon and an exact quintile to Mars The Moon at 19°16′ Virgo is in the 9th house with Jupiter at 26°46′ Virgo, though the Moon-Jupiter conjunction is wide, orb 7°29′. Tradition links a Virgo Moon with attention to detail and a need to finish things properly. The tightest aspect in the chart belongs to the Moon: the [quintile](/en/aspects/quintile) between the Moon and Mars has an orb of 0°00′. Astrologers associate the quintile, an angle of 72°, with talent, craft and a creative manner a person builds for herself. Here it ties the emotional side of the chart to Mars, the planet of action. The Moon also sextiles Pluto with an orb of 1°44′ and trines Neptune with an orb of 3°05′. ## Mercury between Saturn, Mars and Uranus The tightest major aspect is Mercury's [trine](/en/aspects/trine) to retrograde Saturn at 12°10′ Aquarius, orb 1°17′. Both planets are in air signs, and tradition reads this trine as disciplined thinking and the ability to work long and methodically. At the same time Mercury in Libra squares Uranus with an orb of 3°09′ and squares Mars at 7°15′ Cancer with an orb of 3°37′. The Sun also squares Mars, orb 4°36′. All these signs are cardinal. The classical reading sees tension here between the balanced form of Libra and the sharp pushes of Mars and Uranus (more in the article on the [square](/en/aspects/square)). ## Sagittarius rising, Uranus and Neptune in the 1st house The Ascendant is at 14°01′ Sagittarius. The 1st house holds the North Node at 25°26′ Sagittarius, as well as Uranus at 14°02′ Capricorn and Neptune at 16°10′ Capricorn. Uranus and Neptune form a [conjunction](/en/aspects/conjunction) with an orb of 2°08′. The Uranus-Neptune conjunction is generational: it stayed in the sky for several years, and everyone born then has it. The house is what makes it personal. In the 1st house tradition links it with a self-image that changes often and with a mix of experiment and imagination in the way a person presents herself. ## Events often compared with the chart - 2008: at 15 she appears on the Telecinco talent show "Tú sí que vales" and is turned down. - November 2, 2018: her second album, "El mal querer", is released. - November 14, 2019: "El mal querer" wins Album of the Year at the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas. - November 17, 2022: "Motomami" wins Album of the Year among four Latin Grammys. - February 5, 2023: Grammy for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album for "Motomami".
