Donald Tusk birth chart without a reliable birth time
Prime Minister of Poland and former President of the European Council. The date and city are firm, but the 00:02 time comes from an astrologer's blog that does not vouch for it, so it is rated C and the chart is cast for noon.

Donald Tusk was born on April 22, 1957, in Gdańsk. He belongs to the Kashubian minority of the region and has published books about Gdańsk and Kashubia. The birth time is unreliable, so the chart is cast for noon. Its most striking feature does not depend on the hour: the Sun and Venus early in Taurus, caught in a tense fixed T-square with Neptune and Uranus.
What is known and what is not
The date and city are given by the official Polish government biography, the history portal dzieje.pl, a TVN24 report of November 9, 2007 (which also gives his full name, Donald Franciszek Tusk) and Wikidata. Nobody disputes the date. We found no hospital, so the coordinates are those of central Gdańsk.
The only time in circulation is 00:02. Its trail leads to the blog of Polish astrologer Piotr Piotrowski: in a post of October 10, 2007, he writes that Tusk was born "just after midnight", presumably at 00:02, but that he would not stake his head on it. He does not name his source, only that it seems reliable. Astro-Databank gives the same 00:02 with a C rating: the time comes from the Polish Astrological Society website, passed on by Piotr Gibaszewski, original source unknown. Astrotheme rates it A, "from memory or autobiography", yet cites the same hedged blog. No one quotes Tusk or his family, so the chart carries Rodden rating C and 00:02 appears only as a version.
This version has a particular catch. Two minutes after midnight means that an error of a few minutes moves the birth to April 21. The Sun is in Taurus either way, since it entered the sign on April 20. At 00:02 the Ascendant stands late in Sagittarius, and about a quarter of an hour later it would already be in Capricorn.
The chart is cast for 12:00 Central European Time (UTC+1). Poland's summer time in 1957 ran from June 2 to September 29, so it was not in force in April. The chart has no houses, Ascendant or MC, and we give neither the Moon's degree nor its aspects. Its sign is certain, though: the Moon was in Aquarius for the whole of April 22. The section on unknown birth times explains how such charts are read.
A T-square in the fixed cross
The Sun at 2°02′ Taurus opposes Neptune at 1°12′ Scorpio, orb 0°49′. Uranus at 2°55′ Leo squares the Sun, orb 0°53′, and squares Neptune, orb 1°42′. This is a T-square with Uranus at the apex. Venus at 4°05′ Taurus repeats the figure: the square of Venus to Uranus has an orb of 1°10′, the opposition of Venus to Neptune an orb of 2°52′.
All four signs are fixed, and tradition reads the fixed cross as steadiness and reluctance to give ground. In the modern reading the Sun's opposition to Neptune sets sober Taurean realism against a Neptunian ideal (more in the article on the opposition). Astrologers link Uranus at the apex of a T-square with sharp turns and a readiness to break an established order when the tension looks for an outlet.
Three planets in Taurus
The Sun, Mercury at 19°04′ Taurus and Venus form a stellium in Taurus. The Sun and Venus are conjunct, orb 2°03′. Venus in Taurus is in its own sign in the classical scheme. Tradition connects Taurus with endurance, practicality and the slow but sure building up of results.
Mercury opposes the North Node at 19°49′ Scorpio, orb 0°44′, and trines Jupiter (orb 3°49′). The quintile of Mercury to Uranus, orb 1°51′, is read by modern astrologers as inventiveness in words and solutions.
Mars square Jupiter
The tightest aspect in the chart joins Mars at 22°20′ Gemini and retrograde Jupiter at 22°53′ Virgo: a square with an orb of 0°32′. Both signs are mutable and both are ruled by Mercury. Tradition sees in this angle plenty of energy and a habit of taking on several things at once, while the mutable cross adds flexibility and the ability to adjust on the move.
