Elina Svitolina was born on September 12, 1994, in Odesa. Her career-high WTA ranking is No. 3, and she has won 20 WTA singles titles. Her birth time has never been published, so the chart is cast for noon, and what can be read in it is the planets and their aspects rather than the houses. The features that stand out are a Virgo Sun trine Neptune and Uranus, three planets in Scorpio and a near-exact trine from Mars to the North Node.

What is known and what is not

All sources agree on the date and place. Olympedia gives September 12, 1994, Odesa and her full name, Elina Mykhailivna Svitolina. The official WTA profile and Wikidata give the same day and city. The Odesa outlet iOdessit called her a native of the city from a family of athletes in 2021. The maternity hospital is not known, so the coordinates are those of the city centre.

The hour of birth appears neither in the interviews nor in the biographies we reviewed. Astro-Databank has no page for her, and Astrotheme marks the time as unknown and casts a noon chart. The chart therefore carries Rodden rating X: date without time. We found no versions of the time.

The chart is cast for 12:00 Kyiv summer time (UTC+3). Ukraine was on daylight time in the summer of 1994 and went back to UTC+2 on September 25, thirteen days after her birth. The chart has no houses, Ascendant or MC. The Moon covers about 14° in a day, so its degree and aspects are left out. Its sign is known, though: the Moon stayed in Sagittarius for the whole of September 12. The methodology explains how such charts are read.

Virgo Sun trine Neptune and Uranus

The Sun at 19°22′ Virgo trines Neptune at 20°41′ Capricorn, orb 1°18′. A wider trine from the Sun to Uranus at 22°32′ Capricorn has an orb of 3°10′. Uranus and Neptune are themselves conjunct, orb 1°51′. That conjunction of slow planets appears in the charts of everyone born in those years, and what makes it personal here is its link to the Sun.

Virgo and Capricorn are both earth signs. Tradition ties the Sun in Virgo to precision, attention to detail and daily work on technique. The trine to Neptune is read as feel and imagination, the ability to see a situation whole, while the trine to Uranus adds a taste for unexpected decisions. The article on the trine explains how this angle works.

Three planets in Scorpio

Venus at 3°47′ Scorpio, Jupiter at 11°38′ Scorpio and Pluto at 25°40′ Scorpio form a stellium. The North Node is in the same sign at 16°31′ Scorpio, and the Jupiter-Node conjunction has an orb of 4°52′. In the modern scheme Pluto rules Scorpio, so the sign is reinforced by its own ruler.

Tradition links Scorpio with depth, endurance and the capacity to recover after loss. Jupiter in this sign, in the classical reading, enlarges those themes, and Venus gives them a personal, emotional tone.

Two planets of the stellium reach out to Saturn at 8°12′ Pisces, which is retrograde. Jupiter trines Saturn with an orb of 3°26′, and Venus trines Saturn with an orb of 4°25′. Astrologers read trines in water signs as patience and discipline that come without much inner resistance: here Saturn supports rather than brakes.

Mars in Cancer and the North Node

The tightest aspect in the chart joins Mars at 16°51′ Cancer and the North Node at 16°31′ Scorpio: a trine with an orb of 0°19′. Chiron sextiles both points, the Node with an orb of 1°08′ and Mars with an orb of 1°28′. The article on the sextile covers the nature of that angle.

Classical astrology considers Mars weak in Cancer, in its fall. The drive to act is indirect there and depends on a sense of safety and on the people close by. In the traditional reading the trine to the Node gives that force a direction, and the sextiles to Chiron tie it to the theme of working through one's own vulnerability.
