LeBron James birth chart from the birth certificate
American basketball player, four-time NBA champion. The 4:04 p.m. birth time comes from a published copy of his birth certificate, so the rating is AA; a 4:39 p.m. time he mentioned himself in 2026 is listed as a version.

LeBron James was born on December 30, 1984, at Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio, the same hospital where Stephen Curry, his opponent in the 2015 NBA Finals, was born. The birth time is known from the certificate. The feature that stands out first is Mars near the top of the chart, tied by two nearly exact aspects to Pluto and Chiron.
What is known and what is not
The date and place are not in doubt: a WEWS newsnet5 report of June 4, 2015, cites county birth certificates, and NBA.com and Wikidata give the same date.
The time of 4:04 p.m. is read from a photo of the Ohio Department of Health certificate of live birth, which shows the name "Lebron Raymone James", the date, the hour "4:04 P" and the hospital. The image was shown on a 2015 TV news report, and Astro-Databank hosts a copy collected by Roman Craft. Astrotheme gives the same time from the same collector, so it is not an independent confirmation. Because a copy of the document can be seen, the Rodden rating is AA.
There is one other version. According to Astro-Databank, in a short HoopsHype video from January 2026 James said that his birth certificate reads December 30, 1984, 4:39 pm. He was speaking from memory and did not show the document, while the published copy reads 4:04. We keep 4:04 p.m. as the main time and list 4:39 p.m. as a version. The difference matters: at 4:04 the Ascendant is at 26°27′ Gemini, and the later time moves it to the start of Cancer.
The coordinates are those of the hospital. The chart is cast for Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5); in late December there was no daylight saving time in Ohio.
Mars at the top of the chart
Mars at 4°16′ Pisces is in the 10th house, a little over two degrees past the MC at 1°59′ Pisces. Two of the tightest aspects in the chart belong to it. Mars trines Pluto at 4°20′ Scorpio with an orb of 0°03′, and Mars squares Chiron at 4°11′ Gemini with an orb of 0°05′. A sextile from Mars to Neptune at 1°26′ Capricorn, orb 2°50′, completes a group of contacts between Mars and the slow planets.
Tradition reads Mars in the 10th house, the house of public standing, as ambition that plays out in front of others, and the trine to Pluto as stamina and the ability to keep pressure up over a long time. Chiron, in modern practice, marks a sensitive point that a person works through over years.
Mars also lies close to the fixed star Fomalhaut, less than a degree away. Fomalhaut is one of the four royal stars of Persian tradition, linked with ideals and with fame that has to be kept up by effort.
A fixed T-square through the nodal axis
Saturn at 24°37′ Scorpio opposes the North Node at 26°33′ Taurus, orb 1°56′. Venus at 25°05′ Aquarius squares Saturn with an orb of 0°28′ and squares the Node with an orb of 1°28′. If the nodes are counted, this is a T-square in fixed signs with Venus at the apex in the 9th house. Many astrologers do not build patterns on the nodes, and without them the Venus-Saturn square remains, one of the closest aspects in the chart.
Tradition links a Venus-Saturn square with seriousness about relationships and loyalty, and with a sense that what is valued has to be earned.
Moon in Aries in trine to Mercury and Uranus
The Moon at 16°24′ Aries in the 11th house trines Mercury at 17°04′ Sagittarius with an orb of 0°40′ and trines Uranus at 15°18′ Sagittarius with an orb of 1°06′. Mercury and Uranus form a conjunction in the 6th house, orb 1°46′. All three are in fire signs. Astrologers read this link as quick reactions, with the 11th house tying it to teams and friends.
A Capricorn stellium
The Sun at 9°22′ Capricorn and Neptune at 1°26′ Capricorn are in the 7th house, and Jupiter at 21°11′ Capricorn has moved into the 8th. Together they make a stellium in Capricorn, a sign tradition connects with long-term goals, discipline and building something to last.
