Jannik Sinner birth chart with time of birth
Italian tennis player, in 2024 the first Italian to reach world No. 1. The 12:52 a.m. time is quoted from his birth record by a data collector, with no copy published, so the rating is AA*; the databases give Sexten as the place, biographies the hospital in San Candido.

Jannik Sinner was born on August 16, 2001, at 12:52 a.m. in the hospital of San Candido (Innichen) in South Tyrol, and grew up in nearby Sesto (Sexten). His parents ran a mountain hut in Val Fiscalina, German was spoken at home, and until 13 he raced as a skier before moving to Bordighera in 2014 to train with Riccardo Piatti. The chart stands out for a near-exact opposition of the Sun to Uranus and three planets in Cancer.
What is known and what is not
All sources agree on the date. The place is where they differ. Sky Sport says plainly that Sesto, the family's village, has no hospital, so his mother gave birth in neighbouring San Candido. Calcio e Finanza, Wikidata and Wikipedia also name San Candido, while Astrotheme and Astro-Databank give Sexten. Most likely that is the municipality where the birth was registered, since in Italy a birth can be recorded in the parents' municipality of residence. Without the record this cannot be checked.
We cast the chart for the hospital in San Candido (coordinates from OpenStreetMap). Sexten lies about 6 km to the southeast; casting for it would move the Ascendant by a few hundredths of a degree, with no change of sign or house.
The 12:52 a.m. time comes from the data collector Grazia Bordoni. According to Astro-Databank, she quoted the birth record on her Facebook account, and Astrotheme gives the same time, credited to her, from a "birth certificate or birth record". No copy is public, so the chart carries a Rodden rating of AA*: a birth record reported by the collector. We found no other versions of the time.
The time zone is Central European Summer Time (UTC+2), in force in Italy in August 2001.
Sun opposite Uranus
The Sun at 23°09′ Leo is in the 4th house, and Uranus at 22°50′ Aquarius is in the 10th, not far from the MC at 17°14′ Aquarius. The two form an opposition with an orb of 0°18′. Tradition reads a Sun-Uranus opposition as a need for independence and one's own way of doing things, and astrologers link Uranus in the 10th house with an unconventional professional path and sharp turns along it.
The third point of the figure is a retrograde Chiron at 22°56′ Sagittarius in the 7th house. The Sun trines Chiron with an orb of 0°13′. Uranus is sextile Chiron with an orb of 0°05′, the tightest major aspect in the chart. In the traditional reading, such soft aspects give the opposition an outlet.
Three planets in Cancer
The Moon at 8°52′ Cancer and Venus at 16°45′ Cancer are in the 2nd house, while Jupiter at 7°04′ Cancer is still in the 1st, just before the 2nd house cusp. The retrograde North Node at 5°24′ Cancer is close by. The Moon is conjunct Jupiter with an orb of 1°47′, and Jupiter is conjunct the Node with an orb of 1°40′.
Three planets in one sign make a stellium. The Moon is in its own sign in Cancer, and classical astrology counts Jupiter as exalted there. Tradition links Cancer with family, home and protecting one's own, and the 2nd house with resources and what a person values.
The Gemini-Sagittarius axis
The Ascendant is at 17°21′ Gemini, and Rigel, the bright star in Orion's foot, lies 0°30′ from it. Ptolemy gave Rigel the nature of Jupiter and Saturn, which tradition ties to sustained effort and recognition earned over time (more in the article on Rigel).
Opposite the Ascendant, in the 7th house, is Mars at 19°50′ Sagittarius. It is conjunct Chiron with an orb of 3°05′, and the Sun trines Mars with an orb of 3°18′, so the two fiery planets support each other. The 7th house is that of partners and open opponents.
On the same pair of signs, Saturn at 13°25′ Gemini in the 12th house opposes Pluto at 12°33′ Sagittarius in the 6th, orb 0°51′. Many people born in those years share it; here it lies close to the Ascendant axis. Tradition reads Saturn with Pluto as endurance and work under pressure.
