Marine Le Pen was born on August 5, 1968, in Neuilly-sur-Seine near Paris, at 11:20 a.m. Her chart is built around Leo in the upper part of the horoscope: the Sun, Mercury and Venus are in that sign, and Mars in late Cancer stands near the MC, and the tightest aspect, a Venus-Saturn trine, links this stellium to the apex of a yod.

What is known and what is not

The date and place are officially confirmed. Her National Assembly deputy page gives August 5, 1968, Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine), as do her European Parliament record and Wikidata. Her birth name is Marion Anne Perrine Le Pen. No source we found names the clinic.

There are two versions of the time, and both trace back to the document:

  • 11:20: Astrotheme gives this time from a birth certificate or birth record contributed by the collector Didier Geslain. Astro-Databank has given 11:20 since June 2011, when the CEDRA database quoted the birth record itself.
  • 11:00: the original Astro-Databank entry, taken from an email by Hubert Bregent, who cited the birth certificate in April 2003.

Astro-Databank itself replaced 11:00 with 11:20, and Astrotheme independently agrees, so 11:20 is our main time. Both times give a Libra Ascendant (about 12 degrees at 11:00, 15°29′ Libra at 11:20), and only the house cusps move. French birth acts of living people under 75 are not public, and no copy has been published. The Rodden rating is therefore AA*, a birth record held by a data collector.

The coordinates are those of the centre of Neuilly-sur-Seine. We cast the chart for 11:20 Central European Time (UTC+1). That is standard time: France had no daylight saving time between 1946 and 1976.

Leo in the 10th and 11th houses

The MC is at 19°40′ Cancer, and the 10th house holds Mars at 29°49′ Cancer, Mercury at 10°46′ Leo and the Sun at 13°02′ Leo. Venus at 25°43′ Leo is in the 11th. The Sun, Mercury and Venus form a stellium in Leo, and the Sun and Mercury are in conjunction with an orb of 2°16′. Mars sits on the last degree of Cancer, a few minutes of arc short of Leo.

Tradition links the 10th house with career and public role, and Leo with a need to be seen and to lead. With the Sun, ruler of Leo, in its own sign in the 10th, the classic reading describes a person whose personality and profession merge into one public name.

The Sun and Mercury also trine the North Node at 11°25′ Aries: the orb between Mercury and the Node is 0°39′, between the Sun and the Node 1°36′.

Venus trine Saturn

The tightest aspect in the chart is a trine between Venus at 25°43′ Leo and Saturn at 25°32′ Aries, with an orb of 0°10′. Venus carries extra weight here as the ruler of the Libra Ascendant. Saturn is in the 7th house, the house of partners and open rivals.

Astrologers read a Venus-Saturn trine as steady loyalties and composure; the fire signs add directness. The other side of Venus is more strained: it makes a square to Neptune at 23°45′ Scorpio, with an orb of 1°57′ between Venus and Neptune. Classically this links to idealisation and to an image others project onto the person.

A yod with Saturn at the apex

Saturn makes a quincunx to Uranus at 26°47′ Virgo with an orb of 1°14′, and a quincunx to Neptune with an orb of 1°47′ between Saturn and Neptune. Uranus and Neptune are in sextile to each other with an orb of 3°02′. Together this is a yod, the "finger of God", with Saturn at the apex in the 7th house.

Uranus also belongs to the chart's second stellium: Jupiter at 9°01′ Virgo, Pluto at 21°15′ Virgo and Uranus in Virgo, across the 11th and 12th houses.

Tradition describes a yod as a configuration that calls for constant adjustment, with the apex as the point where that tension finds its outlet. With Saturn at the apex in the house of partners and rivals, the classic reading ties key results to other people and to the long run.
